About Thankfulfor was conceived and developed by Jen Consalvo and Frank Gruber of Shiny Heart Ventures, a small technology company with heart and soul, focused on creating community powered products and services that remind us of the joys of life.

Meet Jen

Jen has worked in product development for almost 14 years, leading large and small teams in a range of product areas such as digital imaging, community & social platforms and personalization. The majority of her career was at AOL, planning and building products used by millions of people globally.

Ms. Consalvo received her MBA in High Tech Marketing from the Kogod School of Business, her Bachelor's degree in Communication from the American University, and a full passport from a Semester at Sea. Over the past few years, Jen’s products have been featured in such places as WashingtonPost, TechCrunch, CNET, Mashable and more. Outside of the tech world, photography, travel and health are her passions. Her blogs include JenConsalvo.com and BodySoulConnect.com. Jen’s photography has most recently been published in The Washington Post, Huffington Post, Flavor: Piedmont Magazine of Virginia and KnoxvilleBiz.com. She's a contributing writer for womengrowbusines.com and huffingtonpost.com.

Jen is most thankful for her family and friends, all the opportunities that have come her way and for the Thankfulfor community that keeps growing stronger and stronger.

Meet Frank

Frank most recently worked as a product strategist and social networking/media expert for AOL. He is a well known blogger focused on sharing his Web product expertise and analysis on Web 2.0, social media and emerging technologies.

In addition, Frank co-founded TECH cocktail, an event series and media company focused on serving bloggers, technology enthusiasts, entrepreneurs & professionals in under-served technology communities. Frank was also chosen to be a brand ambassador for Intel and recently named one of Washington, DC’s 100 Tech Titans by Washingtonian Magazine. Additionally, Frank has been covered in articles in Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun-Times, TechCrunch, GigaOm and Read/Write Web among others.

Mr. Gruber received his Master's Degree in Computer Information Systems from Northwestern University, and his Bachelor's Degree in CIS from Purdue University. In addition to technology, he is passionate about baseball, particularly the Chicago Cubs, and loves to play his guitar.

Frank is most thankfulfor breakfast, beaches, gadgets, baseball, sports center, the Internet and music.
