what are you thankful for today?
tigger1192 is thankful for...
- good friends (some better than others, they know who they are); family to help me shop for OTHER family members (and the free Belk gift cards that allowed me to buy them presents they wanted); my never-ending patience; two day work week, five days off.
- My grandfather felt that you had to earn anything that was given to you; my dad believes that happiness and luck will come to you when you need it. Without them, I wouldn't have my work ethic and my feelings that I have to earn whatever I get, but also, my ability to freely give away what I've earned if someone else is in need (to a point).
I am thankful for the fact that, unlike my younger siblings, I was able to know my Gaga. Thanks Dad, and thanks Gaga, for making me the man I am today.
- I'd like to extend thanks to two of the people who most influenced my life: my father and his father before him, my Gaga. While both of them consistently drove me crazy (my father still does, on a near daily basis) I realize that without such treatment, I wouldn't be the same me.
Gaga was a hard man, a cowboy; my dad, not so much. Without them, I wouldn't be able to take the hard line when necessary, but also have the patience or the sense of humor needed to deal with whatever comes at me...
